Pic of the month: Eyes of no hope

I took this picture on the Portuguese Island while on a cruise. The little girl and her even younger sister walked up and down the beach the entire day with temperatures reaching 32 C.  Hard to imagine a future for this child.  In my photography career I've taken thousands of picture, but this picture really has a special place in my heart, so that's why I decided to make it the picture of the month.

My Portfolio

I'm that kind of photographer that likes to take pictures of people. A good picture is a picture that shows you what the person on the photo is feeling - when you look at the picture it must tell you a story - capturing a moment in time that can be preserved for hundreds of years.

Eyes of no hope

On a recent trip to Mozambique I took this picture on one of the Portuguese Islands.  I young girl selling wooden cats and bangles to the tourists. In her eyes you could see the things she's overcome - and the emptiness in her eyes only portrays that she has no hope for the future.
