Our neigbour, Ron Duwig. Born in London and spent most of his time on the ice rink - that's where he met his wife of 40 years, Phylis. Very sweet old man, going on 78 this year.

I took this picture on Saturday. It is a little bridge in Parys, built in 1919. I have a picture of my mom when she was little on this exact bridge. Parys is a really pretty place, lots of antique shops and beautiful sites next to the river.

My grandfather, Oupa Roelf turns 80 years old on the 5th of September this year. We are planning a big party for his special day.

My parents both grew up in the Freestate town, Heilbron. On an afternoon drive we revisited this old town.  Here you can see the drive in, a place my parents spent many nights sharing a special date night (sometimes with her little brother sitting between them - then, not so special, but my grandmother didn't really give them a choice).  Very sad to see a place that once was very special to two people in love, destroyed.

Our neigbours, Ron and Phyllis celebrated their 50th Wedding anniversary with a huge celebration. These two ex ice-skating champions from England love each other as much as they did the day they got married.
